"Fly TWA / The Orient" ca. 1960

Original David Klein designed travel poster with the dancing Hindu deity Shiva in front of beautifully detailed scenes from India and Asia seen through a window draped in bold colored translucent cloth.

Copy "FLY TWA THE ORIENT" is rendered in original Mid-Century style typeface.

Designed by David Klein (1918-2005), a renowned poster designer who collaborated with TWA to promote their travel routes in the 50's and 60's. The classic series, which embodies the fun and decorative style of the period, has become beloved among collectors and designers alike.

Medium: Offset lithograph

Dimensions: 25” x 39 ½"

Condition: Very Good. Top marginal fold mark, some rubbing, a few marginal tears (one about 2" to at lower margin is repaired on back with tape – see photos).
