Notes: A contemporary of Alberto Giacometti, Alexander Calder, and Henry Moore, Marino's work came to the public eye in The US as part of the famous 'Twentieth-Century Italian Art' show at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1944. In addition to his Etruscan-influenced equestrian sculptures, he also produced paintings, etchings, and lithographs on similiar themes.
