This unframed lithograph is from an edition of 2000. The 1947 lithograph " La Femme au Fauteuil" was chosen and approved by the Picasso Estate to reproduce for the exhibition of works from the Mourlot Studio at the Gallery Jørgen in Oslo, Norway. Dimensions: 23 x 15 inches image on 30.75 x 19.75 inches paper Very Good Condition, with minor signs of handling consistent with age. Additional details: The image was composed of six colors, and Picasso created various proofs of this image, adding colors successively until he reached the desired effect. This lithograph is one of his most significant experiments in using color in printmaking. There are very few other examples of Picasso lithographs in more than six colors. Printer: This lithograph was printed by Mourlot, the Parisian studio known for its striking exhibition posters for French galleries and museums. Since the 1920s, its close collaborations with great artists transformed the art exhibition poster into a stunning artistic statement in its own right
